The distribution sector needs contemporary knowledge partners to be associated and guide it to fulfil the techno – commercial objectives like reduction of losses, optimizing revenue, purposeful system upgrades, enhancing the customer satisfaction, up grades of skill sets of stake holders to match the altered business compulsions on a sustainable basis.
The KPEA is a technical institution with profound objectives to function as a potential institute for training in the aspects of Operation and maintenance of Power Systems encompassing Transmission, Sub-Transmission and Distribution segments and to establish contemporary and relevant training capsules.
The objectives are intended to be achieved with the professional skill sets of the power engineers who are working / worked in power segment in Karnataka or other states to begin with. Gradually it will be expanded to meet the needs of the power sector.
The modus Operendi to come good to the needs of the power sector are through:
Propagating the need to implement National Training Policy in letter and spirit
Identifying and assessing the training needs of the Power Sector.
Making subjective training modules interesting
Promoting objective training modules
Enthusing skill sets upgrading modules
Creating a sense of accountability in all the administrative cadres to be consumer friendly
Propagating awareness to the regulatory regimes governance
Educating the administration to the disciplinary aspects
Making the profit zones in distribution jurisdictions
Understanding business parameters and regulatory parameters for purposeful functioning
Health audit and the practices
Budget – control and disposals
Coordinating with the training activities of the contemporary power sector
Conducting Seminars and Workshops.
Entering into agreements with any institution for specific training programmes, demonstrations, assignments, preparation of training material.
